A dandy website for anyone interested in full-throttle living!  According to UC/Berkeley's Greater Good Science Center (GGSC), happiness, resilience, connection, kindness aren't just core qualities of a well-lived life;  they're "skills that we can learn develop nurture over time.

Need more compassion, gratitude or mindfulness in your life?  They've provide dozens of research-based ways to enrich our lives.  Not shabby!

According to the folks at the Greater Good Science Center, "The practices in Greater Good in Action are for anyone who wants to improve his or her social and emotional well-being, or the well-being of others, but doesn't necessarily have the time or money to invest in a formal program."  Their intended purpose?  To "serve as building blocks for creating your own happiness regimen."

As GGSC points out, Greater Good in Action is NOT a substitute for therapy, does NOT serve as a form of mental health treatment.  Folks suffering from a potential mental disorder are advised to talk with a trained mental health professional.  The activities included under Greater Good in Action are supplemental, not primary!

For a sampler of Greater Good in Action activities, check out the Huffington Post article, 41 Science-Based Actions for a Meaningful Life.
