Back in our TV watching days, the Food Network introduced us to the concept of deconstructing a recipe - taking apart the elements & rearranging them into something new, fresh, appealing. Over at my Secrets of the Home blog, that's what I'm doing to my longstanding concepts of family - taking apart the elements in order to reinterpret them into a new, fresh, healthier whole.
The deconstruct is intended to bring closure, but to be a cleanse. A tip of the hat, then sloughing off of the past so something new, fresh & appealing can be made visible.
Far from a heartbreaking process, it is joyfully revitalizing.
