Mutual admiration society - Mim memory du jour

Mim & Dad had a lifelong mutual admiration society.  He was proud of her creativity & intelligence;  she was always & forever his “Beh-path” (“princess”).   

Mim – who was about the LAST person anyone would have pegged to seek a student government position – stunned the family by running for & being elected Academian (the school newpaper) co-editor.  No one should have been surprised – Dad was the editor of the school newspaper at Harrisburg Academy, where he attended high school. 

Will always remember how it galled Mim to be tagged “Co-editor” while her guy counterpart was Editor,  to have her editorial decisions always take a back seat to his.  Hey, it was the ‘50s (1961-62).
