It's not my destiny to attend TedWomen 2016, this October in San Francisco.
My destiny is even more important, connected to my deepest loves - - arranging a related TedWomen event in my little hometown. One that combines watching live feed of the event out in my beloved City By The Bay -and- local speakers on issues of importance to women of all ages.
Or Danielle Odhner, talking about restoring agriculture to our wee small boro.
Or Adriann Glunz on making dreams into realities, over & over.
Or Gail Simons on being cultivating within & between communities.
Or Nina Finkleday on developing a community resting spot.
Or Becky Cooper dropping down from Kempton to discuss creativity, the arts, and the power of children's theater.
Or Aline Brown on the WHY behind extreme sports. Or, for that matter, whoever is behind the phenom that is GFit Women.
Live speakers, live stream events, long conversations & unimaginable inspiration.
This is no small wish. This means finding space, finding sponsors & speakers & people to do the audio & lighting & recording.
And this has got to be done. It feels like on some level it already has been, is waiting, none too patiently, to be drawn into the NOW.
Gotta go. Things to do, dreams to make real.
