Naturally, I was hesitant about my writing as smudging project. Was it the right thing to do? Would what feels respectful & honoring be experienced as honest or as condemning to others? Would it serve a purpose or just be getting stuff off my chest? Yes, I worried about those things, although not much.
Now, not even a smidgen. Mom just got into the act. Right there, smack dab in the middle of Daring Greatly, pages 110 & 111. Brene quotes the same passage from Margery Williams' classic, The Velveteen Rabbit, that Mom used to open her article, The Velveteen Grammie.
Big, glorious goose bumps. A can't-miss sign from our mother - "You go, girl!"
