The older I get, the more I find myself pondering stuff that's tripped
me up over the years. Each awareness brings an opportunity to keep making the same dorky
calls, or better ones.
In her late 80s, my mother went through a remarkable recovery process, which was about moving forward with joy rather than looking back with regret. In her early 90s, she wrote about nature forcing her into more meditative states & a slower tempo, a state & tempo she found richly rewarding.
I want that
contemplative experience,
not one of being bored to tears.
Mindfulness
training starts this Thursday - may Mom's gentle spirit be with me!
